Is R2 better than Bioshock? Er...that's hard to say. I think they're pretty even, but again, I'm going to give the edge to that awesome sequel, and besides, some people will argue that Bioshock isn't a true-blue FPS. Then there's Half-Life 2 or The Orange Box, but at this point in time, I consider both to be outdated and not worthy of being in the discussion. Half-Life 3? Sure, maybe.

The sequel to the award winning title from 2007 (for the Xbox 360) and 2008 (for the PS3). Maybe this time the game will come out correctly for both systems, synchronously. The game is very much under wraps at the moment. All the tools are present from the first game.so all the developers will need to do is amp-up the entire experience by tweaking the AI a bit, tossing in a few more guns, and balancing it all out for a surprise multiplayer mode. Okay, maybe the game doesn’t need a multiplayer mode, but it sure would be nice. Nevertheless, BioShock is already poised for being another must-play for 2009.

Those who follow the video game business know that it will be a long time before we another season like Fall 2007. This time last year, gamers were literally buried under best-selling A-list projects, including BioShock, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Rock Band and Portal. By comparison, this year is shaping up to be solid, if unexceptional., with few break-out hits.
The lack of competition may be one reason why one of the most anticipated new games right now is not a sequel, spin-off, brand extension or movie tie-in. It's EA's scary sci-fi shooter, Dead Space. After playing through the 16-plus hour campaign, I can also say it's easily one of the best games of the year

Released last August for Microsoft Corp's Xbox 360 console, "BioShock" was a sleeper hit for Take-Two Interactive Software Inc and critics gushed over its finely crafted story and disturbing moral choices.

BioShock and it's free. Xbox 360 and PC owners can now get their mitts on new power ups and achievements.
So, first up we've got four new power-ups in the form of plasmids and gene tonics:
'Sonic Boom', which hurls enemies across the room.
'EVE saver', which enables plasmids to use less of the EVE that fuels them.
'Vending Expert', which brings down the prices in the vending machines, meaning your EVE and plasmids will set you back less.
'Machine Buster', which ups the amount of damage you can do to cameras, bots and turrets.
On the Achievements front, gamers can now pick up 100 points for 'Brass Balls', which requires players to complete BioShock in the hard difficulty setting without dying.
Just for good measure, 2K's gone ahead and thrown in a widescreen option as well as some mysterious "additional enhancements". That's thanks to fan feedback, apparently, which is nice...
Owners of BioShock on the 360 will get an automatic title update when they start up the game while logged on to Xbox Live.

New secret BioShock achievement that was recently revealed, but now GamerTag Radio is claiming to have found more details on just what you’ll have to do to unlock it. According to them, after much forum scouring, the secret achievement goes like this:
Bullet proof - Complete the game on Hard difficulty without using a Vita-Chamber.
BioShock isn’t exactly the most difficult game ever, but not dying once? Little trickier. And there are a lot easier ways to get 100 extra Gamerscore points. Well, I suppose it could be done a bit easier if you just re-load the game every time you die. Of course, this could all just be fuel from the internet fire trying to dupe people out there into trying it. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time.
